Inside The Hourglass
I’m bathing in the grains of time as they’re sifting
from above, until I secure what I hold dear, which
is my best friends love.

All around there are waves crashing down, and
their pushing has pulled me inside; and though I
keep holding on, as I’ve done for so long, I’ll soon
lose my fight to the tide.
