Catalan Princess
She, this Barcelona,

Makes me feel as if all the streets are alive

The buildings like sleeping jesters, giants

Dormant, snoozing under Summer skies

Waiting to perform in a midnight Circus

She dances on The Ramblas,

Waiting for Gaudi to appear

To breathe life into . . .

Festival Of Life
The emerald lake where we crouched and watched
White butterflies streak by eager faces
Swinging from ropes tied to the great old tree
Splashed into a lake of expectations
Drying off under summer's kindest smile
Cupping Syrah grapes in our hands, jogging,
Stirring up ours and Papa's dusty dreams
